An opportunity has arisen to appoint Senior Policy Manager to be a part of the Planning and Integration Unit within the Commissioning Policy Group, part of the Strategy and Innovation Directorate.
NHS England’s Commissioning Policy Group has a wide and varied portfolio of work that covers the majority of NHS England’s commissioning functions.
The work includes some significant ‘set pieces’ across the Planning and Integration Unit, the Contracts and Incentives Unit, the Commissioning Policy Unit, and the Mandate, Partnerships and Assurance Unit, such as: development and publication of the NHS Planning Framework and Guidance on behalf of NHS England; developing and implementing policy relating to the devolution and co-commissioning programmes; setting NHS England policy on overseas visitor charging; developing policy to transform the commissioning landscape; setting policy for delivering NHS England’s commissioning strategy; providing the secretariat for the Commissioning Committee; continuous development of the NHS Standard Contract; and design and delivery of NHS incentive schemes; Annual mandate negotiations and maintain organisational relationships to ensure that our accountability and mandate work supports the Five Year Forward View
